HELICOPTER-BORNE EMERGENCY MEDICINE TRAININGS

Training modules in emergency medicine are offered under the patronage of the Foundation. They enable local doctors facing a lack of training, mainly in emerging countries, to become familiar with French emergency and disaster medicine techniques.

These training courses are set up with the support of the Airbus Foundation. Participants have the opportunity to practice in real rescue conditions with the help of a helicopter, thus combining theory and practice.

Such training programmes have been set up in Brazil, Mexico, India, Indonesia, Bolivia and China, and enabled the training of 1 000 medical peoples.

A website for these courses has been created in 2021, find it here: https://hems.fam.fr/en/
