Training
for helicopter based medical emergencies

Training modules in emergency medicine are offered under the patronage of the Foundation. They allow local doctors with a lack of training, especially in emerging countries, to familiarise themselves with French techniques in emergency and disaster medicine.

These training schemes are set up with the support of the Société Française de Médecine de Catastrophe [French Society for Disaster Medicine] and the Airbus Helicopters Foundation. Participants have the chance to practise in real rescue conditions with the help of a helicopter, combining theory and practice.

Such training programmes have been set up in Brazil, Mexico and China.
