THE BEST SURGERY, AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO THE NEEDS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL, IN FRANCE AND AROUND THE WORLD
On Thursday, October 31, 2019, the National Academy of Surgery inaugurated its Foundation on its premises.
The Foundation of the French Academy of Surgery (FFAS) being sheltered by the FAM, it is therefore with great pride that we were present at this inauguration.
The mission of the FFAS is :
-to ensure the dissemination of the knowledge and know-how of French surgery for the greatest number, in France and throughout the world
-strengthen the sharing of surgical progress in France and around the world.
With its foundation, the French Academy of Surgery aims to contribute to saving more lives and to repairing or avoiding more disabilities.
Many personalities were present and spoke during the inauguration:
-Richard Villet (President of the Foundation of the French Academy of Surgery and General Secretary of the FAM)
-Philippe Marre, Secretary General of the Foundation of theFrench Academy of Surgery
-Professor Henri Bismuth, Honorary President of the French Academy of Surgery
-Professor Sabine Sarnacki, Head of Department at Necker Hospital – Sick Children
-Dr. Eric Cheysson, President of the Chain of Hope. Dr Anne Mourregot, Montpellier Cancer Control Centre
-Professor Rachid Sani, Head of Department at the University Hospital of Niamey
-Professor Alain Cribier, Honorary Head of Cardiology at Rouen University Hospital
-André Comte Sponville, philosopher
-Eleonore Assante Di Panzillo, Deputy Director of the Foundation of the French Academy of Medicine
-Xavier Martin, President of the French Academy of Surgery
